Partnership with Mettenmeier

We are pleased to announce our partnership with Mettenmeier GmbH. Mettenmeier is an IT service and consulting company with over 40 years of expertise in the sectors of energy and water. Their product portfolio comprises solutions for grid data, service processes as well as strategic grid management.

Within the scope of the partnership, we developed envelioConnect: a standardized interface between the Smallworld GIS and the Intelligent Grid Platform (IGP). The interface is pre-configured for the Smallworld application module NRM Strom. After the initial setup of the interface run, data is exported automatically. The data set can be submitted as a whole or as a difference data export.

envelioConnect’s mapping of the exported data ensures that the data can be integrated and used in the IGP without any development effort. The interface is designed to be flexible and offers options for versatile configurations such as individual customer adjustments or the export of additional tables. This way, catalogs for the creation of new objects in the IGP planning process can also be exported.

Other integrations are currently in development: Among others, the connection of AM Suite with the IGP facilitates fully digitalized end-to-end processes for end customers with connection requests for PV, charging stations and storages. In addition, we are going to expand the internal view for grid planners by returning the IGP’s calculation results for new connection request processes directly to the engineers.

Through this collaboration, we are going to expand digital processes for distribution grid operators and municipal utilities, thus accelerating the energy transition!
