“Game changing, innovative & full of learning” – that’s how our colleagues describe working at envelio. As a software start-up in the energy industry, we were founded in 2017 and have been pursuing a common goal ever since, we want to change the energy system sustainably.

More than 100 employees are already on board and working passionately on smart solutions for our power grids. Each one of them contributes to the further development of our Intelligent Grid Platform – combining our core competence in the tech sector with in-depth expertise in all areas of the company. Only together can we really master the energy transition.

I started as a backend engineer and have grown into my role as Engineering Director – a journey shaped by curiosity, new ideas, and the freedom to try things out (including a famously bad icebreaker that surprisingly worked). Today, I focus on empowering our managers to grow their teams – through mentoring, recruiting, and guiding the delivery of high-quality software and tech strategy.

After receiving your application documents, we begin a multi-stage interview process designed to evaluate the fit from both sides: Personality, skills and experience as well as your enthusiasm for envelio. During the interviews you will get to know different interview partners and thus get a good sense of our spirit, our culture and the people at envelio. If you apply for a software development position, you will be given access to a Coding Challenge after your first interview.
